Quotes and proposals can be provided from any number of levels of information, but the following information will need to be determined prior to final product quoting:
 
· Part Number/Description
 
· Order volume, timing, and forecast
 
· Assembly drawings (critical dimensions/parameters)
 
· Bill(s) of Material (qualified suppliers)
 
· Performance Specifications (reliability and electrical test specs.)
 
· Packaging Specifications (if special package design)
 
· Workmanship standards, especially if different than IPC standards
 
· Customer supplied items, if any
 
· Special requirements, such as PPAP or other data submissions
 
Quotes usually take 1-2 weeks due to the need for materials quoting and technical review, but budgetary labor-only estimates can be provided within 48 hours. Quoted items will include unit costs, tooling, leadtimes, and assumptions/exceptions as required.
