Quotes and proposals can be provided from any number of levels of information, but the following information will need to be determined prior to final product quoting:

  • Part Number/Description
  • Order volume, timing, and forecast
  • Assembly drawings (critical dimensions/parameters)
  • Bill(s) of Material (qualified suppliers)
  • Performance Specifications (reliability and electrical test specs.)
  • Packaging Specifications (if special package design)
  • Workmanship standards, especially if different than IPC standards
  • Customer supplied items, if any
  • Special requirements, such as PPAP or other data submissions

    Quotes usually take 1-2 weeks due to the need for materials quoting and technical review, but budgetary labor-only estimates can be provided within 48 hours. Quoted items will include unit costs, tooling, leadtimes, and assumptions/exceptions as required.
